Motivation: It moves you
Motivation, motion and move all have the same route. At the simplest level they are all about moving you. That could be your emotional state, your physical state or your social-economic state.
You need motivation to move in any direction. The lack of movement is a sure symptom of a lack of motivation.
When you find yourself unable to move look for a new direction to move in – even if it means move one or a few steps back. The act of moving will help to trigger the feeling of motivation within you. Sometimes you need to backup before you can charge ahead.
Avoid growing roots of inaction. Keep moving. It will help you feel motivated.
